The local police force has successfully rescued Nana Ottupre Kwagyan, the esteemed chief of Kubease, a community situated in Kwahu Abetifi, Eastern Region.
The chief had allegedly been kidnapped by a group of unidentified individuals.
According to preliminary reports from the police, the chief was forcefully taken from his residence by six individuals in the early hours of Monday, October 16, 2023, and transported to an undisclosed location.
Promptly responding to a report of the incident, the police swiftly initiated an operation, ultimately leading to the rescue of Nana Ottupre Kwagyan. He was located safe and unharmed in Abene.
Currently, the victim is under the secure custody of the police, ensuring his safety and well-being. An ongoing investigation is in progress to identify and apprehend those responsible for the alleged kidnapping.
