About 200 residents of Akyem Aboabo a suburb of Akyem Oda in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region have been displaced by a devastating rainstorm.
Dozens of houses have reportedly been ripped off while many household properties were destroyed.
Some of the items destroyed were a mattress, Students books, Clothes, Food Items, Cooking Utensils, Blanket, Traveling Bags, Fridge, TV Set, Blanket, Decoder, Standing Fan, Ceiling Fan, Carpets, Chairs, Woofer, Phones, Phones Accessories, and Shoes
A Radio Station Mast was also toppled over by the violent rainstorm.
The displaced residents are perching with their friends and families awaiting the assistance of the government.
Meanwhile, a report indicating that personnel of the National Disaster Management Organization have visited the Community for assessment.
