A Strong rainstorm has ripped off Classrooms of Odontuase D/A Primary in Brim North District of the Eastern Region displacing Pupils and Teachers.
Some classrooms collapsed during the incident but fortunately, the incident occurred shortly after the school children were asked to go home, therefore, no casualty was recorded.
The incident which occurred March 10, 2020, has since disrupted the academic exercise.
A Teacher in the School appealed for support to enable teaching and learning to resume.
“We are appealing to President Akufo-Addo, Abirem North DCE, and other bigwigs in these Districts to come to immediately come to our aide because as it stands now we have nowhere to learn. Very soon we will enter the rainy season which will be depressing if we don’t have classroom.”
Report indicates that about 10 houses in the community were also ripped off during the rainstorm displacing its occupants.
Meanwhile, officials from the National Disaster Management Organization, NADMO, have visited the school for assessment which has been forwarded to the Regional Directorate of the Organization for release of relief items.
