The Eastern Region has recorded 13 new coronavirus cases as of April 30, 2020.This has increased the regional tally to 70.
Details of the new cases have not been provided but already, Fanteakwa North, Denkyembour, Akuapem North, Lower Manya Krobo, Nsawam, and Asuogyaman Districts have all recorded cases of COVID-19.
It is not clear if the newly recorded cases are from these districts where samples of contact traced persons were taken for testing.
Nationally, COVID-19 case count in Ghana has seen also leaped from 1,550 to over 2074, according to the Ghana Health Service
The death toll has also increased from 16 to 17 while the number of persons recovered has also increased from 188 to 212.
