Eastern Region has recorded one new confirmed case of coronavirus on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, increasing the regional tally marginally to 95.
Two of the confirmed cases have however recovered.
The region recorded the biggest spike of cases with 30 confirmed cases within three days between April 30th, 2020, and May 2, 2020.
The Ghana Health Service on May 4, 2020, announced 7 new cases which increased the regional cases to 94.
Details of the new cases have not been provided but already, Fanteakwa North, Akuapem North, Lower Manya Krobo, Nsawam, Birim Central, and Asuogyaman Districts have all recorded cases of COVID-19.
The National tally has surged to 2,719 from 2169.
Death toll to remains 18 but recoveries have increased from 229 to 294.
