Residents of Aboabo a community in Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region are up in arms with school authorities of Methodist Basic School in the community over the use of school toilet facility.
The community with a population of about 1000 has no public toilet facility. Open defecation is therefore high among the populace.
Some frustrated residents with no toilet facilities in their homes are therefore fighting the school to use its toilet facility decision school authorities have rejected.

The padlocks of the school toilet are consistently broken by the unscrupulous residents to have access to ease themselves after school had closed.
According to the management of the school, the situation has been reported to the Assembly member who is in talks with the youth of the community to desist from the act.

Schools across Ghana were reopened Monday, January 18, 2020, after ten months of closure due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
