The Municipal chief executive for New Juaben North, Samuel Adongo on Thursday, June 5 participated in the John Mahama led-government’s ‘Tree for Life Initiative’ on Thursday.
The hardworking joined high dignitaries including the Eastern Regional minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, MCE for New Juaben South, service commanders, Heads of departments and Agencies amongst others, to officially launch the Tree for Life Initiative at the Koforidua Technical University (KTU) campus.

Hon. Adongo joined the regional minister to plant a tree each.
The ‘Tree for Life’ initiative seeks to raise awareness about the critical role trees play in our existence and the need to protect the environment.
It is also aimed at restoring degraded landscapes, promote sustainable forest, conserve biodiversity, and address climate change and environmental degradation across Ghana.
The target is to plant over 7000,000 seedlings.
