Resident Minister of Pentecost International Worship Center (PIWC-Koforidua ) ,Pastor Musa Yahaya cautioned the youth against “slay Queen” menace describing it as a curse .
He condemned how many young girls have turned to this evil venture to milk men who have toiled with their wives in life , to get rich quick and amass wealth.
He said the wrath of God will not spare such persons who involve themselves in this menace during judgement.
Pastor Musa Yahaya said the youth must fear God and live righteous life like Joseph who Potiphar’s wife took a liking and made several failed attempts to seduce him.
He also rebuked increasing adultery and fornication among Christians stating that christians are fornicating with impunity because contraceptives prevent them from getting pregnant concealing their sins from men.
He said this during Communion Sunday on July 2,2023.
Meanwhile, the outgoing Koforidua Sector Pastor for Home and Urban Missions of The Church of Pentecost Pastor Gabriel Owusu Akyaw also bemoaned that the fear of God is dwindling among Christians in Ghana.
According to him ,if 70 percent Christian population in Ghana will fear God and do things with the fear of God ,Ghana will transform.
Pastor Gabriel Owusu Akyaw said this when ministering at PIWC-KOFORIDUA on the Topic: “The Fear of God “
He defined the Fear of the Lord from Proverbs 23:17,Proverbs 18:13 ,Proverbs 16:6 ,Hebrew 1:9
According to Pastor Gabriel Owusu Akyaw ,”the fear the Lord is not only when you run away from evil but also you must hate it”.
He said some people will not directly commit evil but their actions and inactions indirectly support evil which should not be the case for a Christian who fear God.
“We have christians who themselves will not do evil but will never condemn evil.As you run away from evil make sure your surroundings are not evil “
He stated forcefully that ” Evil prevail because the good ones are quiet”.
Pastor Gabriel Owusu Akyaw assured Christians that indeed “When fighting evil pressure will come ,there will be attacks but God will rescue you”.
Mentioning some of the benefits of fearing God, He Stated that;The fear of God brings boldness to self,the fear of God keeps one from sinning ,brings deep respect and honour for God , Fear of the Lord brings total Obedience ,the fear of God motivates Sacrifice ,the fear of God fuels compassion for others”.
Touching on How to fear God , Pastor Gabriel Owusu Akyaw listed that one must “Believe God,
,Trust God in everything and know God “.
He concluded the exposition with
Ecclesiastes 12:13 stating that” the Fear of God is the Whole duty of man”.
