A dam created by Akroma Gold Mining Company in Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern region for its mining activities has allegedly failed to lead to spillage of the heavily polluted water into the environment.
The discharge of the polluted water is likely to contaminate a nearby river.
Mybrytfmonline.com has gathered that the incident has caused flooding in the immediate environment at Odumasua community.
Officials from Kwahu West NADMO have visited the scene to provide technical support to avert disaster.
