The six day -old baby who was stolen at Nana Boame a community near teacher Mantey in Ayensuano District in Eastern region almost two weeks ago has been returned alive by the unknown abductor(s).
The baby was brought back Friday evening around 7:00pm.She was found crying in front of the house in the darkness.
The incident attracted many residents to the house to catch a glimpse of the situation.
The Assembly member for the area and other opinion leaders all came to the scene.
The baby was taken to Teacher Mantey police station in the evening to report to the police .
According to parents of the toddler -Kwame Amegbetsi and Portia Kemevor the baby was stolen Monday June 5 ,2023.
The mother explained that she left the baby who was sleeping in the room around 5:00pm to rush out buy baby diapers at a nearby shop only to return within six minutes to the shock of her life that the baby was no where to be found.
The father Kwame Amegagbetsi who was then in a farm rushed back home upon hearing the incident to join the search throughout the night on the fateful day but to no avail.
The parents lodged official complaints at Teacher Mantey police station.
Search continued subsequent days as police investigate alongside but to no avail .
