The Suhum Fire Station swiftly responded to a domestic fire at Aboyor in the Suhum Municipality after receiving a distress call at 1258 hours.
A crew led by ADO II Prosper Dziworshie, the crew arrived at 1302 hours and found a kitchen and store room engulfed in flames.
The fire was brought under control by 1328 hours and fully extinguished by 1353 hours, saving four adjoining rooms despite damage to the kitchen and two wooden store rooms.
While replenishing, the crew received another call about a bushfire at Mile 44.
They promptly responded and successfully extinguished the flames using hoses and fire beaters.
The swift and professional response to both incidents is highly commendable.
