A teacher also an Elder of the Church of Pentecost and a manager of a beach resort on a motorbike has been crushed to death by a moving truck on Accra to Akosombo Highway in the Eastern region.
They were three on the motorbike.
The deceased persons -Amoako Osae Emmanuel, a teacher at Akrade Presby School, and Ketsi Cecil, a manager at Adi Lake all in Asuogyaman District.
One other pillion Gladys Asare is in critical condition at the VRA Hospital.
According to a witness, the three were on a motorbike going home at about 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 27, 2022 however the rider Amoako Osae Emmanuel now deceased made wrongfully overtook a vehicle but unfortunately the motorbike hit the rear tyre of the which the impact caused the motorbike to collide with the oncoming Ashok Truck.
The woman fell while the motorbike was staggering before it finally crashed under the moving truck which crushed them.
The two died instantly while the woman sustained a serious injury.
“The accident involving a motorbike (Okada) and Ashok truck with registration no: GN 1104-19 on the Accra to Akosombo highway today January 27, 2022, at about 5:00 pm.
The Okada rider together with the other two persons was on the motorbike during the accident. The rider, Emmanuel Amoako, aged 32, and Ketsi Cecil, 28 years old lost their lives instantly and the third person on the bike, Gladys Asare, aged 35 is in critical condition at Volta River Authority hospital, Akosombo. The bodies are at the VRA hospital mortuary for preservation. At the scene were NADMO, Ghana Police, GNFS and National Ambulance Service”. The witness said.
