A group of chiefs, queenmothers and Assembly Members as well as branch executives and supporters of the NDC on Monday threw their support to Triku Philip Kwasi Quashigah to become Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) for Suhum.
They showed up in their numbers on Monday January 13,2025 when the young enterprising politician filed his nomination and application form to express interest in the MCE position.
Triku Kwasi Philip Quashigah is current constituency Vice Chairman for the NDC in Suhum .
He has served in various capacities in the party for 20 years .
He is one of few executives with strong grassroot support due to his relationship with the base of the party and communities at large.
He is among about six individuals who have filed application so far for the position .
Triku Kwasi Philip Quashigah in an interview with the media promised to help implement government policies effectively, ensure high revenue mobilization, and create jobs for the youth.
Nana Ohene Kwabena, Adontehene Saanahene of Suhum threw supporter of Nananom for Quashigah due to his cordial relationship and hard work.
At a Press Conference, some group of Assembly members reportedly affiliated to both NDC and NPP also pledged one touch endorsement when he is nominated at MCE for Suhum.
Despite these growing calls, Mybrytfmonline is reliably informed that some executives of the party at the Regional and national level are pushing for Lydia Ohenewaa Afasi, the constituency women’s organizer to be nominated as MCE.
