At least two persons were confirmed dead in a fatal accident that occurred Sunday at the Kyekyewere stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highway
According to Kwadwo Minta, a witness at the scene, a Ford Mini Bus with registration GS 6870-20 from Kumasi direction towards Accra overtook some fleets of vehicles ahead of it while ascending a hill but suddenly, a trailer truck with registration number GN 4966-13 fully loaded with bags of cement appeared from the opposite direction of Accra to Kumasi but the truck driver managed to avoid a head-on collision with the speeding Ford Minibus with passengers onboard.

However, a Mitsubishi taxi cab with registration number GW 9752-20 which was closely following the truck crashed head-on with the Ford Minibus.
The driver of the taxi Cab identified as George, and one other passenger on board died instantly.
Other passengers in both the Ford and the taxi sustained injuries and were rushed to Suhum government hospital for treatment.

The bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited at the mortuary of the same Hospital.
