Watch Your Tongue Foundation, Ghana and Jesus Ark Foundation, both non governmental organizations, have jointly organized free skills development training for over sixty (60) persons mainly youth at Akyem Maase in the Abuakwa South Municipality of the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The program which was unveiled at the Akyem Maase Durbar Ground on the 14th of January, 2024, received massive response from the residents in the community.
According to Officer Kwasi-Fori, CEO Of Watch Your Tongue Foundation, Ghana, the cost of residential, non residential training and welfare of the beneficiaries will be borne by the two foundations.
He explained that, participants will be taken through employability skills such as building and construction encorporated with modernized roofing systems, CCTV camera installations, electric fencing and installation of car tracking and other security devices.
Officer Kwasi-Fori added that, OBI Roofing Systems, Shalom Vision Systems and BKA Benkofa Limited are the facilitators of the program.
Officer Kwasi-Fori emphasized that, skills development training of the youth is the surest way of mitigating the youth unemployment situation in the country and admonished other non governmental organizations, civil society organizations and well meaning individuals to embrace the initiative for socio-economic development of the country.
He further thanked the organizers of the function led by Mr Isaac Ohene Opoku popularly called Obiba Rap Soccer of Maase TV for their support.
Mrs Eunice Ayisha Godsent, Co-CEO of Jesus Ark Foundation on her part said, youth development continuous to be a priority of their foundation and added that, if the youth are well equiped with employability skills, they will be self depending economically and social vices, such as thievery, hooliganism, robbery amongst other crimes in communities will be minimized hence, their decision to partner Watch Your Tongue Foundation, Ghana for the initiative.
She further urged the beneficiaries of the initiative to put in, all their efforts to learn their variously placed fields of training for their welfare in the near future.
Mr Bismark Yaboah Kodee, Co-CEO of Akwaaba App, speaking as a guest of honour, eulogized Watch Your Tongue Foundation, Ghana and Jesus Ark Foundation for their humanitarian services to the community and the country as a whole.
He further encouraged other benevolent organizations to emulate the gesture for poverty eradication in the country.
Mr Bismark Yaboah Kodee further, entreated all the trainees to be humble and respect their facilitators to get the best out of the training sessions.
