The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, has led a delegation from the University to pay a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty, Nene Sakite II, the Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional area who doubles as the President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs.
The purpose of the visit was to congratulate Nene Sakite II on the 25th anniversary of his reign.
It was also to discuss the existing partnership between the University and the Manya Krobo state.
The Vice-Chancellor noted that the Manya Krobo Traditional Council remains an important partner to the University as far as agricultural research was concerned.
She added that the University was poised to consolidate the relationship the Manya Krobo state.
In his welcome address, Nene Sakite II, stated that he was ready to foster the long-standing relationship between the University of Ghana and Krobo land for the mutual benefit of all.
