A Vehicle in the convoy of Ghana’s Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has been involved in a serious accident in the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred at Nuaso -Korlenya in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality when the convoy of the Vice President was en route to Akosombo.
According to a witness, the accident occurred when the speeding V8 Vehicle with registration number ER 5453-18 avoided knocking down a jubilant woman who suddenly crossed the vehicle.
The driver, however, lost control of the Steering wheel, veered off the road, and crashed at the roadside.
The occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were treated and discharged.
The Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia started a three-day campaign tour of the Eastern region on Sunday, October 25, 2020, and expected to end the tour today.
The Vice President has been touting the achievements of the Nana Akufo Addo led New Patriotic Party government hence the need to renew the mandate of President Akufo Addo for four more years.
