Seven (7) passengers who sustained serious injuries in a fatal accident which happened at Adelakope near Akuse junction stretch of the Akosombo to Tema motorway are recuperating.
Some of the victims have been discharged with few on admission during mybrytfmonline.com checks at the Akuse Government Hospital.

The accident which occurred Monday, February 22, 2021, at about 6:40pm led to the death of two persons at the spot.
Information gathered indicates that the accident involved a Mercedes Benz Sprinter bus with registration number GT4087-15 which was being driven by suspect driver Anku Christian, 34 years.
The bus with passengers on board was from Ashaiman to Kpassa.

However, on reaching a section of the road at Adelakope near Akuse Junction, the vehicle passenger front tyre got burst and as the result, the driver lost control of the steering wheel hence the vehicle veered off its lane into the bush crushed to a big tree.
According to the Acting Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command Sergeant Francis Gomado, the rest of the passengers including the driver sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to Akuse Government Hospital for treatment.

The two bodies also deposited at the same hospital morgue for preservation awaiting identification and autopsy.
