Reports from most polling centres in the Eastern region suggest the ongoing elections has started peacefully with no incident of violence recorded so far.

Meanwhile, reporters have indicated voters are committed to voting today as many electorates were out as early as 3am to go out and queue to vote, so they go about their normal duties.
As of the time of filing the report, almost all polling centres across the region and other areas have commenced voting, which is expected to travel to 5pm in the evening.
