The West Akyem Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region has handed over 240 dual desks and six carbinets to the Municipal Education Directorate to support pupils and teachers in the area.
Handing over the items, the Municipal Chief Executive, Honourable Seth Oduro Boadu, assured the Municipal Education directorate of the government’s continues support for Education of which West Akim is part of the President’s vision.
He noted that the Municipality has benefited from the National Cake of Education, and the Assembly has also invested massively in education for the past six years.
The MCE charged the Education Directorate to give the items to those who need them, and they should take good care of the items while they wait for more to come.
