The Nsawam Police Divisional Command has apprehended several women for allegedly engaging in the trade of damaged fish at the Nsawam Market.
The arrests occurred on August 4, 2024, following an undercover investigation by National Security Operatives.
According to preliminary reports, the women were caught retrieving damaged fish from a refuse dump at Okoh Bayie in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency.
The report suggests that they transported the damaged fish and sold it to consumers at the market daily.
The investigation continues as authorities seek to address the illegal trading activities.
