The Member of Parliament for Upper Manya Krobo, Bismark Tetteh Nyarko heaved a sigh of relief after the construction of the abandoned Sekesua road resumed.
The Sekesua road which starts from Akatawia through Sekesua, Osonson, Sutapong to Sumuer junction was awarded by the previous erstwhile John Mahama-led government in 2016, however, work on the road stalled when the ruling NPP took over the reins of government.
The road deteriorated and became almost unmotorable whenever it rained.
The condition of the road became a major headache to MP Bismark Tetteh Nyarko hence raising the concerns on the floor of Parliament by asking the Roads and Highways Minister to brief the house on the issue.
Having brought the Roads Minister to the House to answer questions on this matter severally, the contractor has been given the green light to return to the road to complete the project
The MP has negotiated for land at Adwenso where gravels are being excavated and transported to the construction site for filling of the road.
The MP Bismark Tetteh Nyarko accompanied by the Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Moro Yakubu Hankuri, the Constituency Secretary, Mr. Buawolor, and other top NDC party officials in the Constituency recently inspected the progress of work on the road.
The MP was so elated at the speed and seriousness that the contractor is executing the job to ease the plight of commuters.
