The Stroke Association Support Network-Ghana (SASNET), the World Heart Federation (WHF) in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service, Eastern Region, organized a health walk dubbed “Walk for Heart” to mark World Heart Day.
The celebration witnessed participants walk from the Eastern Regional Hospital through the principal streets of the New Juaben South and ended at Jubilee Park.
Participants were then taken through an aerobic session to highlight the importance of exercise to the body.
The Deputy Director, Public Health of Eastern Regional Health Directorate, Dr Ekow Otoo enlightened participants on non-communicable diseases and ways to prevent or reduce them.
She indicated “You can also pass by the Hospital Wellness Clinic to get your vitals checked without a charge”.
