Residents of Akyem Tafo in the Abuakwa north municipality are complaining about the effect of dust they had to endure due to negligence on the part of the various authorities.
Speaking to the media, residents especially those along OPASS junction-Old Tafo stretch are worried dust has taken over their daily activities.
This, according to aggrieved residents is as a result of the road construction, that has been allegedly abandoned since last year as the contractor has left the site with his equipment.
Mr. Eric Obuaba, a Communication member of the NDC complained threat the issue is alarming to the health conditions of residents and called on authorities to intervene as matter of urgency.
He called on the municipal engineer to ensure the Assembly make it a responsibility to at least water the road periodically until the contractor return back to site.
He further accused President Akufo-Addo,the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Assembly of neglecting Abuakwa north, despite the President being a former lawmaker in the area some years back.
Mr. Green as affectionately called assured the people in the area of good things to come and therefore urged them to rally behind former President Mahama and the NDC to 2024 to redeem the country from the insensitive NPP government.
“I am calling all the people within the area to support the NDC so that we can boot out both the NPP government and our inexperienced MP” Comrade Obuaba stated.
