As part of activities to mark Christmas Day celebration,the Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Asamankese of the Diocese of Koforidua has honoured three Ghana Education Service workers and one Broadcast Journalist who won awards from their work places in 2022.
The four, Andrews Danso was adjourned Best Administrator, Charles Obiri -Yeboah won first runner-up, Senior High School in Eastern Region, and Emmanuel Agboyi also won Best Teacher Award in West Akyem Municipality.
The other person, David Mensah Atakora who is a Broadcast Journalist with Nkonim FM also won Dano Milk Eastern Region Media Excellence Awards 2022 Morning Show Host of the year and Media Personality Award.
The four were for the first time in history of the Asamankese Catholic Church honoured with citations to motivate them to work hard and develop the sense of belongingness.
Parish Priest for the Saint Mary Catholic Church, Very Reverend Father James Buah-Nkwantabisa encouraged the award winners to continue work for God and Ghana and brighten the Conner where they are and called on others to work hard to win awards from the employers and the church.
In a related Development, the Catholic Youth Organization (C.Y.O) at the Asamankese Unit also presented 43 Certificates to the Youth who embarked on Evangelization and honoured their financial obligations.
Leaders from the Muslim Community in West Akyem Municipal joined the church for the first time in history to mark the Christmas day Mass with them.
