The Chief Executive of Forestry Commission, Mr. John Allotey, together with Mr. Kwaku Amoako, the General Services Manager (GSM) of Forest Commission (FC) paid a working visit to the Eastern Regional office of the ForestryCommission.
Mr. Allotey was welcomed by Mr. Isaac Noble Eshun, Regional Manager; Mr. Emmanuel Owusu Nkwantabisa, Deputy Regional Manager; Mr. Moses Anongura, Wildlife Manager; and Mr. Emmanuel Antwi, Kyebi District Manager.
Mr. Allotey interacted with staff from the Timber Industry Development Division (TIDD), Wildlife Division, and Forest Services Division (FSD).
He wished the staff a happy new year and officially welcomed them back from the Christmas holidays.
He advised them to take their health and safety matters seriously this year and commended the Managers steering the affairs of the Commission in the Region for a good work done in the past year, and urged them to work harder this year.
Mr. Allotey concluded by urging staff to be disciplined in discharging their duties at work, focus on the job, try to learn from each other, see themselves as equals, be happy without discrimination and respect each other.
In a related development, the Chief Executive inspected a newly -built FSD Regional Office at Koforidua. Mr. Allotey commended the contractor for a good work done and urged the General Service Manager to equip the facility with furniture as soon as possible for the building to be inaugurated.
