The Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party in the Ayensuano constituency of the Eastern region Ida Adjoa Asiedu has reiterated her commitment to improving security in the area.
Addressing the gathering during a sod cutting ceremony to construct an ultra modern Police Station at Dokrochiwa in the Ayensuano constituency of the Eastern region, Ida Adjoa Asiedu committed her support for the project by donating 35 pieces of street light bulbs to be fixed in Dokrochiwa and its adjoining areas.
Ida Adjoa Asiedu noted by saying “as part of security measures I am donating 35 pieces of street light bulbs in support of the project , I came with my electrician and have contracted him to fix all the bulbs before tomorrow so that there will be light everywhere in your community”
“let us all support the contractor in charge of the new Police Station project so that he will be able to complete it within the estimated time that we all wish”
“I urged all of you to vote massively for H.E Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and Ida Adjoa Asiedu in the upcoming December 7th elections because Dr. Bawumia is the only individual who has the bold solutions for the future of Ghana” she appealed to the constituents.
The sod cutting ceremony for the commencement of Dokrochiwa Police Station was attended by the Eastern South Regional Police Command led by DCOP George Bosman Ohene Boadi who represented the Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
DCOP George Bosman Ohene Boadi advised citizens to refrain from meting out instant justice to security personnels especially personnels of the Ghana Police Service whenever they act wrongfully in the discharge of their duty.
Making reference to instances where Police Personnels have been assaulted and Police Stations being set ablaze and burnt down probably because civilians were in disagreement with police personnels, DCOP George Bosman Ohene Boadi said the Police is not above the laws of the land hence when officers go wrong and the cases are reported the law takes it full course.
Therefore he appealed to civilians to collaborate with the Ghana Police Service and report any wrong doing in their communities to assist the police to protect lives and properties.
Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for Ayensuano Josephine Inkoom Ansaa on her part noted that the construction of the Dokrochiwa Police Station is expected to complete in three months time for commissioning.
