The Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) president of the Koforidua Technical University chapter, Emmanuel Adjei Sowah has allegedly thrown his support for the National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate of the New Juaben South Constituency, Dr. Martin Otu Offei.
Information gathered allegedly indicates that, Dr. Otu Offei who is a Lecturer in the University is fully supporting and funding the campaign of a member of the NDC’s Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN), one Malik Salifu, in his bid to contest the SRC Presidency of the University.
Malik is in the same faculty with the Tescon President, Emmanuel Adjei Sowah.
The three together with other persons are seen severally in crunch meetings discussing strategies to win the upcoming SRC Elections, NDC take over of campus politics and to the larger interest, Dr. Otu Offei winning the parliamentary seat for the first time in the New Juaben South Constituency.
Many students of the University and NPP members in the New Juaben South Constituency has received this news with shock. This has also created a sharp division in the Tescon fraternity in the school.
They believe, this attitude of Sowah is a stab at the back to the New Patriotic Party’s Tescon in Koforidua Technical University.
