On 24th December 2022, Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere Baafi gave free shopping coupons to over 1000 constituents, both men and women.
Beneficiaries who were 70 years and above, were to “Shop and Go” at Presby Ascension School Park as part of the MP’s annual Christmas gift for the vulnerable.
The “MP’s SHOP ‘N’ GO for the aged allowed mothers and fathers to buy food items (yam, rice, cassava, cocoyam and plantain), vegetables, meat, cooking oil, clothes, eggs and toilet Rolls up to an undisclosed amount for free without paying anything.
The MP posted “Dear Lord, during this Christmas and beyond, I ask for good health and long life for the aged in my constituency
I am grateful to my able executives and volunteers for the success in rolling out the open market”.
