In an effort of making other lives better, an Australia-based philanthropist, Ernest Owiredu has donated to orphans at Akwadum Christian Village and people with disabilities in the Eastern Region.
The donation was line with what Albert Einstein, theoretical physicist, and philosopher said ‘‘it is every man’s obligation to put back into the world at least the equivalent of what he takes out of it.’’
Bags of rice, water, toiletries, soaps, second hand clothing, detergents, cooking oil, and many other items were donated to physically challenge persons and orphans.
Mr Ernest Owiredu articulated that the donation was to fill the gaps and provide dedicated gifts to help the most vulnerable in the region.
He emphasized that he will extend the donations to different regions across the country adding that charitable giving to the vulnerable is an instrument for positive societal change.
Mr Ernest Owiredu asserted that the donation to the physically challenged persons and orphans will help improve their mood and sense of purpose.
Nana Asante Boateng I, Nkosuhene for Koforidua Akwadum acknowledged Ernest Owiredu kind gesture for donating to the less privileged adding that it will help reduce stress, boost happiness, and increase their self-confidence.
