The Birim North District has disbursed items, money and medical equipment to persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Over 145 beneficiaries drawn from the various electoral areas making up the district received start-ups capital and took home items including deep freezers,fufu pounding machines, sewing machines, shoe making machines and other devices such as wheel chair and clutches.
In his address, the District Chief Executive Raymond Nana Damptey, asked beneficiaries to make good use of the items and the money and also urged them to continue to support the NPP government for increasing their share of the Common Fund from 2% to 3%.
He again thanked the social welfare and community development department for selfless administrative service especially with regards to PWDs.
