It is an undeniable fact that Fanteakwa North district has the most amazing ecotourism sites in Ghana today.
The Odomanko Ahenfie, located at Nyardie, about 30 minutes drive from Begoro, hosts the most amazing rock formations in the country.
The Begoro Traditional Area has other amazing water bodies, fauna, flowers and plants.
It has two significant palm trees with multiple heads located at Ehiamenkyene areas of Fanteakwa South. This time, it has to do with possibly the tallest palm tree in Ghana!
Look at these two palm trees. On the left is the world’s tallest palm tree that lifts its crown to an incredible height of 60 meters (197 ft) it is located In northwest Colombia.
On the right is a palm tree in Ghana, located at a village called Nhyereniase in Fanteakwa North.
It has not yet been measured by the Assembly but l think the Ghana Tourism Authority should generate interest in determining its height and to find out whether it is the tallest palm tree in Ghana.
If it is, we can compare its height with those in Africa.
If it has anything significant about it, may l humbly submit that this palm tree must be owned by the state and protected.
