Teachers of Koforidua Freeman Methodist school has disclosed teaching and learning is still very active.
Organised Labour last Friday declared the industrial action after an emergency meeting among the unions at the Hall of Trade Unions in Accra.
Though the nationwide strike Organised labour embarked on affected many nationwide activities including teaching, and other public assistance, Koforidua freeman Methodist school teachers could not engage rest because of their students.
Speaking to some teachers of the school, they mentioned to mybrytfmonline.com, ‘as you can see, we are still in school and teaching and learning is still in progress”.
This strike was embarked due to 60 percent share in some four hotels to Rock City Hotel Limited proposed by SSNIT.
The strike has the involvement of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG), the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), the Ghana Private Road Transport Union of TUC Ghana (GPRTU), and the various teacher unions, including the Ghana National Association of Teachers, the National Association of Graduate Teachers and the Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU).
The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) moved a step further with a call for the dissolution of the SSNIT Board and resignation of top management of the pension fund manage.
