Executive Director of Educate Africa Institute William Boadi has emphasized there is no way public schools can match up with private schools in Ghana.
He attributed it to poor educational policies and programmes by successive governments in ensuring holistic education is spearheaded over the years.
Speaking on Bryt Adekye Mu Nsem on Bryt fm, Mr. Boadi stated the current state of education in Ghana is polarized that it has had negative effect on the performance of students in most public schools.
He told the host, Kwamina Sam Biney that, the current curriculum being used by basic schools lacks practical innovations that could actually unearth talents and in depth knowledge of students than the normal academic knowledge acquisition.
Mr. William Boadi as expressing his view on a publication by the Daily Graphic where Emeritus Prof Stephen Adei is quoted as “Give Head Teachers Powers To Improve Education Quality”.
Prof Adei made several comments including giving teachers the right to recruit teachers as that will make teachers sit up and do the right things to improve the quality of education.
But the Executive Director insists there is the need to do proper overhaul of the country’s educational system so as to give the need training to pupils.
