The Eastern Regional Health Service has recorded 15 COVID-19 related deaths from January to 13 February 2021.
As of 13th February 2021, Active cases in the Region were 185 and in 2021, from January to 13 February 2021, the region confirmed 644 COVID cases.
On 13th February 2021 alone, Asuogyaman District recorded 41 new cases, and Atiwa East and Kwaebibirim recorded one each case.
From March 2020 to 13th February 2021, the Region confirmed 3,342 COVID cases and of 13th February, cases on admission were four and 181 other cases are being managed in Homes.
The government is expected to spend over $200 million to procure the Covid-19 vaccine for the entire population.
The price of the vaccine available presently ranged from $4 to $20 and that would be the cost at which every Ghanaian would be vaccinated.
Also, Ghana is among 145 counties listed to receive vaccines from several suppliers through the COVAX Facility according to the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Ghana is earmarked to take delivery of 2.4 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine which is licensed to the Serum Institute of India (AZ/SII).
