Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku has eulogized Linford Asamoah Boadu, Chairman of the Eastern Regional Football Association (RFA) for exhibiting a fantastic leadership style.
There have been diverse views about the performance of Linford since assuming office last year.
A session of football administrators rated the RFA chairman high while others expressed worry about his leadership style especially when he decided to collapse the FA’s WhatsApp platform following a backlash from some administrators.
At the unveiling of the RFA’s social media handles and website monitored by Bryt FM, the Ghana FA president hailed Linford, saying it is a step in the right direction.
“I’m extremely happy that the leadership of the Eastern Region Football Association led by Linford has taken this bold step with the introduction of their new social media platforms. I think that will go a long way to help the association because social media is the way to go.”
“The usage of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and perhaps YouTube goes a long way in helping football people, clubs, and others. So I’m very excited that the Eastern Region has taken that step with this launch. I think this will go long in promoting football in the East.”
“I will urge everybody to visit the various handles to get firsthand information from the region. I will also urge clubs in the region to do the same by creating their handles in promoting their football clubs.”
He has therefore called on other regional football associations in the country to emulate the Eastern region by creating social media platforms for the betterment of the game.
