Former President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians to patronise locally-made foods in the wake of the country’s falling economic crisis.
Suggesting some possible solutions to help revive the economy, especially dealing with the falling cedi, the former President said eating more local rice, cassava, gob3 and other foodstuffs will help manage the economy.
Former President Mahama was speaking on the economy at the University of Professional Studies, Accra on Thursday, October 27, 2022.
Despite blaming the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government for reckless economic mismanagement over the years, Mr Mahama was optimistic it is time for Ghanaians to also contribute their quota in helping to deal with the challenges the country currently finds itself.
He said the country could have prevented the current situation if President Akufo-Addo had listened to economics, cooperate bodies and individuals who were prompting the President of future eye-saw due to how the economy was been handled.
Earlier before, the Minority Spokesperson on Finance Cassiel Ato Forson has given a gloomy picture of the true state of the economy, exposing the government to feeding Ghanaians and the International community with wrong economic figures.
