Dr. Richard Amoako Baah, a political science lecturer and member of the New Patriotic Party, has urged Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to step down before he further destabilises the economy.
He indicated the Finance minister, who appeared to be “drunk” as a result of the kenkey parties he organised after borrowing, has no idea how he would help put the country back on track.
He explained on Okay FM’s “Ade Akye Abia” show that President Akufo-Addo ought to have fired him for under performance, but because he has failed to do so, the Finance minister should step down and stop putting more misery on Ghanaians.
βThe President is the first person to blame before the Finance Minister,β he said.
He added the Finance Minister is currently without any inspiration since all he is currently doing is borrowing money to support the already failing economy he created, he is unable to continue to wreck havoc on both the economy and people’s lives.
β I really liked him, I thought he was honest, but now I have seen he is not honest . He will be talking about the word of God but all he says is not true,β Dr. Amoako Baah said.
“If his employer, the President, won’t fire him because they are related, he should step down”, he argued.
He said “He is still having trouble getting his domestic debt exchange program executed, which is hurting even pensioners, and his weak management abilities are to blame for the kind of disaster Ghana is currently in”.
