Professor Gyampo, Head of the Political Science Department at the University of Ghana, has sounded a warning bell, cautioning that Ghana’s economic recovery will require sustained sacrifices and a dose of realism from politicians.
In a stark assessment of the country’s economic situation, Professor Gyampo emphasized that the road to recovery will be long and arduous.
“It will be tough before it gets better,” he stressed, urging politicians to stop making unrealistic promises and instead focus on understanding the current situation and its implications for the future.
The renowned expert also cautioned that a change in power alone will not automatically ease the economic burden on Ghanaians. “We need to be honest about our situation and work together to find solutions,” he added.
Professor Gyampo’s warning comes as Ghana grapples with a dire economic situation, with inflation rates soaring and the cost of living increasing exponentially.
