Dr. S. K. Frimpong, an economic historian and a former professor at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) recommended the necessity of empowering the child to consider the needs of women and girls to effectively encourage and support women and girls in their country.
According to him, the youngster will grow up to support the path of empowering women if it receives the training with the correct knowledge of the need of the girl.
Dr. S. K. Frimpong released a statement during the inauguration of the ‘He Empowering Lot More She’s’ (HELMS) Initiative, an initiative established by his non-governmental organization, Royal Aid Foundation.
The goal of this initiative, according to Dr. Frimpong, is to holistically empower the boy kid and train males to recognize the needs of the female child to inspire more females.
The guest speaker at the event, Lariba Zuweira Abudu, Deputy Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, praised Dr. S. K. Frimpong for spearheading such a worthwhile effort and expressed confidence that the initiative will assist to solve the country’s gender inequality problem.
Thus, she has invited the public to join forces in promoting the most men and boys in the country to defend equality between women and women.
The HELMS initiative is a program aimed at empowering men and encouraging them to stand in solidarity with women to build a powerful, visible, and united force for equal rights.
