“Unlocking Trade Potential: Identifying Key Sectors for Collaboration” program brought together government officials, business leaders, and industry experts from both countries to foster economic cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties.
In his keynote address, Education minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum highlighted the role of education as a catalyst for socioeconomic development and emphasized the need for skilled workforce exchange and capacity building programs between Ghana and Guyana.
He also pointed out the potential for collaboration in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). With both countries seeking to enhance their skilled workforce, there is an opportunity for knowledge sharing, curriculum development, and teacher training programs.
“With education at the forefront, Ghana and Guyana are poised to strengthen their trade ties, leveraging their resources and expertise to achieve mutual prosperity and sustainable development” the minister added.
