The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu has received a delegation from the Volta Regional House of Chiefs and the Afife Traditional Council to deliberate on key educational development priorities in the region.
Central to the discussions was the proposed transformation of Ohawu Agricultural College into a full-fledged university.
The Minister reaffirmed Government’s commitment to the initiative, noting that the process would begin with the provision of the necessary infrastructure and resources, followed by the appropriate legislative framework.
Other issues discussed included the proposed UHAS satellite campus at Battor and infrastructure development in selected schools.
The Minister assured the delegation of the Ministry’s commitment to working with stakeholders to advance these initiatives and strengthen educational opportunities in the region.
