The Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum paid a courtesy call to the Presbyterian Church of Ghana on Monday 14th November 2022 as part of his listening tour to faith-based organizations and stakeholders in the education sector.
The Minister and his entourage were hosted by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev Prof Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante.
They discussed a catalogue of issues and shared thoughts on further strengthening partnerships between the Church and the education sector.
The Minister congratulated the leadership of the Presbyterian Church for the excellent work they are doing at PRESEC, Legon, and other leading schools across the country.
The government is committed to working closely with all stakeholders in the education space for the benefit of all Ghanaian children.
The Moderator on his part described Dr Adutwum as a visionary leader who understands the education sector and urged him to continue working very hard toward getting the best for the nation.
The Moderator appealed to the government to have a second look at how best to engage the services of parents towards the development of education in the country.
He applauded the Government for implementing various strategic interventions and programmes to align education with industry needs through the implementation of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education. (Article: Rev Larbi).
