The Effutu Ghana Immigration Service office has taken delivery of office equipments to help facilitate their work within the municipality.
The donation by the Member of Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin is to help cushion staff and also make them feel comfortable to deliver of their mandate.
Speaking at the presentation at Winneba, the current deputy Majority leader emphasized on the need to support government agencies to make them proactive and beneficial to citizens.
He noted that his outfit took up the initiative after several interactions with the hierarchy of the service on their pressing needs that needs immediate attention.
Hon. Afenyo-Markin, however, pledged to build a new ultra modern office for the service in due time as the municipality keeps expanding into a major city.
He therefore, urged officers of the service to put in their best and ensure they deliver as expected of them despite the challenges.
Meanwhile, the Central Regional Commander of the GIS, DCO1 Eric Afari in his remarks commended the MP for the donation and indicated that it will go a long way to augment their effort as far as their operations are concerned.
He was grateful to the MP and prayed to God for all his secret prayers to be answered so as to have effect on their activities as well as the general well being of Constituents.
With the pledge to build an ultra modern office for the municipal GIS office by the MP, DCO1 Eric Afari was honoured and hope it will be completed on time as scheduled.
Items donated includes; Desktop computers, air conditioners, photocopy machine, printers, land line phones, office cabinet, office chairs and others.
