Deputy Majority Leader in Parliament and the MP for the Effutu Constituency, Hon Alexander Afenyo-Markin has taken a swipe the NDC in Effutu and the party’s Parliamentary Candidate, James Kofi Annan to stop peddling falsehood about him over the alleged sale of the Aboakyir Sacred Forest purported to have been given to a mining firm for Lithium extract since it will never hold.
According to him, NDC as a party together with its Parliamentary Candidate is known to be apostles of liars, anti developmental agents and also liability to the Effutu Constituency and Ghana as a whole.
Addressing NPP party faithfuls during a Peace Walk to signify the populace that there is unity, peace and oneness among residents in Winneba following a demonstration by the NDC, revealed that the NDC Parliamentary Candidate can never stand with him in any elections.
He said the NPP is poised to bring more developmental projects to the people of Effutu hence the NDC has no chance of having any electoral victory as long as he remain as the MP.
Afenyo-Markin has, however, vowed to make sure that the NPP win all the 18 electoral areas in the upcoming District Assembly elections.
Meanwhile, Municipal Chief Executive for the Effutu Municipality Hon Alhaji Zubeiru Kassim also took turn to explain the motive for the peace walk and the message they carry.
He emphasised that there is no way government would mine in the sacred forest dedicated for traditional purposes and therefore assured the people that there is no truth in the purported reportage circulating.
