The 2nd Lady Samira Bawumia addressed a high-level panel on “African Youth and Women Leadership for a Global Clean Energy Transition” at the ongoing UN Framework Convention on Climate Change – COP 27 in Egypt.
She also visited the Ghanaian Pavilion and the “Climate Vulnerable Forum” side event where discussions on Ghana’s Climate Assessment Programme and “Human Mobility” in the context of Climate Change were ongoing respectively.
According to the 2nd Lady Africa achieving sustainable energy for all by 2030 can be accelerated with women and the youth at the forefront.
She said, “Africa’s achievement of affordable, sustainable and modern energy for all by 2030, can be accelerated with women and the youth at the forefront to ensure net zero emissions for a cleaner and healthier world”.
