Egypt To Reduce Birth Rate From 2M To 400,000

Egypt’s President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi says the country needs to slow its birth rate to avoid a catastrophe.

Reducing the birthrate from the current 2 million to 400,000 would lead to more a more efficient provision of jobs and social services, he said.

Al-Sisi also hinted that Egypt could emulate China’s one-child policy since China “succeeded in their population control policy”.
