Eight Members of Parliament on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) lost in the weekend Parliamentary Primaries in the Eastern Region and they are expected to end their services to the Nation as Lawmakers in December 2020.
They are; Mark Assibey-Yeboah – New Juaben South Constituency, William Agyapong Qauitoo – Akim Oda Constituency, Seth Kwame Acheampong – Mpraeso constituency and Mercy Adu Gyamfi – Akwatia Constituency.
Others are; Opare Ansah – Suhum Constituency, Kwabena Ohemeng- Tinyase Kade Constituency, Seth Akyeampong – Mpraeso Constituency and Robert Kwasi Amoah – Achiase Constituency.
The Member of Parliament for Kade and Akwatia were defeated in their first term while Mpraeso MP will also end his third term in December.
Honorable Frederick Opare Ansah, who was defeated in Suhum Constituency, will end his fourth term in December in Parliamentary and MP for Oda, Nkawkwa, Achiase, and New Juaben South are also in their second term.
Those who won are; David Ansah – Mpraeso, Kwadwo Asante-Suhum, Ernest Kumi – Akwatia, and Alexander Akwasi Acquah.
The rest are Michael Okyere Baafi – New Juaben South, Kofi Ahenkora – Achiase, Alexander Kwadwo Agaye – Kade, and Joseph Frimpong in Nkawkaw Constituency.
