NPP Parliamentary Candidate for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere-Baafi has titled the ongoing special voting taken place in the constituency as a peaceful exercise.
According to him, the voting is progressing securely with strict observance of the COVID-19 safety protocols as every electorate goes through all the processes before casting their vote and hopeful that the process would be smooth to the end.
During one-on-one interaction with Bryt Fm reporter, Okyere-Baafi defined the ongoing special voting as a successful exercise as a point that rules and regulations have been abided by the voters. “Even though the exercise has not come to an end but looking at the movement shows there is victory ahead,” he said.
He stressed that the only problem they have so far is the electorates whose names couldn’t appear on the voting list, and he is commending them to vote early enough on December 7 before they begin their duties for the day.
Okyere Baafi also urged journalists to be very watchful all around on the ongoing special voting taking place across the country, today, Tuesday 1 December 2020 in order to ease misinterpretation adding that being observant and avoiding misinformation will result in the exercise is free and fair.
“We want to keep the peace we are enjoying; hence journalists should be very careful on the message they will send outside in order not to create any misunderstanding,” he touted.
Prospective voters include personnel of the Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Information Services Department, Ghana Armed Forces, National Intelligence Bureau, and National Security.
