The Bono Regional Chairman for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe is commonly known as Abronye DC, has thrown some punches at former president John Dramani Mahama after the latter called for a ‘do or die’ election in 2024.
John Mahama’s “Do or Die” mantra, he claims, incites election violence and should not be tolerated. The fiery Ghanaian politician, whose reputation is built on vitriol directed at political opponents, has urged Ghanaians to denounce Mahama’s address, claiming that it is a prescription for disaster.
Speaking in an interview on Neat FM, Abronye FC stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Ghanaians will not entertain any danger of violence in the upcoming general elections, adding that peace is what every Ghanaian deserves in 2024.
He made it clear that whatever John Mahama considers, whether it is peace or fire, will be returned to him and his family.
“If it is peace they want, they will have. If it is fire, we will give them fire. If Mahama wants peace in election 2024, he will have it but it’s the fire he wants then he will be the first including his daughter to suffer the wrath of political violence.
“She will be at the polling station as an agent of the NDC. How will you expect someone to risk his or her life when your daughter is there to do the same? And mind you, every political violence starts at the polling station and then escalates. If that happens, she cannot vanish. It can’t be possible. If that do or die happens, she will be a victim,” he stated.
